Enforcement of email domain policy in TES and the Transferology Lab

by | Feb 17, 2026 | News, Product announcements

Starting March 31, usernames/emails must be from approved college, university, or organization domains

CollegeSource is firmly committed to ensuring that our applications adhere to security best practices and standards. We take a proactive approach to this by building security into the development process and conducting rigorous testing of our products to ensure the safety of customer data.

To further increase security, we will shortly begin enforcing our policy that TES and Transferology Lab account logins must be associated with the subscriber’s college, university, or organization email domain (or subdomain). An email domain is the information after the @ symbol that identifies the mail server (for example, collegesource.com or schoolname.edu).

Current account holders

Steps are being taken to give users ample time to update their account usernames/emails so they can continue using TES and the Transferology Lab without disruption.

We have proactively reached out to institutions with users who have logged into TES or the Transferology Lab within the last 12 months using a domain other than their college, university, or organization email (e.g., a Gmail or Yahoo! account) and provided instructions for updating login information.

⚠️ Login credentials for TES and Transferology Lab are connected

Please note that TES and Transferology Lab accounts use the same login information. Changes to the user’s email address in TES will be reflected within the Transferology Lab within 24 hours; changes in Transferology will be reflected in TES immediately. Additionally, changes to email addresses will not impact statistics in either application.

Institutions will have until March 31 to update logins to an email address belonging to the institution or organization’s domain. After this time, CollegeSource will be deactivating accounts that don’t meet this requirement.

New subscribers

Upon account creation, CollegeSource, in coordination with the subscriber, will determine the primary email domain of the institution or organization. Other domains will be considered for inclusion as requested by the subscriber.
