A message from CEO Kerry Cooper—
Each year we look forward to the opportunity to gather together to connect in person at our Annual Conference with each of you in our CollegeSource community, our tribe, our friends that we email, text, talk to, and meet with throughout the year. By mid-May, planning is in full swing; we have confirmed presentations, edited videos, and set the agenda. The menus have been decided, along with the entertainment and final details for our themed, fabulous, and fun evening receptions.
By now we are usually thinking of all of the ways and words we will use to welcome and inform you. We would normally be having fun discussing creative ways for you to network and meet new colleagues facing the same issues, who can be sounding boards and, if you’re lucky, become friends throughout your academic career.
But this isn’t our traditional May is it? June will not be at all what we expected when we rang in this hopeful 2020 New Year. Travel bans, social distancing, work-from-home orders, online learning, virtual living, no large gatherings, and definitely no handshakes or hugs—all implemented to keep us safe. So… Conference cancelled! Refunds processed! Still, there is so much to show; so much to tell. Presentations are ready, there is wisdom to be shared. There are Sourcies to be awarded!
The show must go on… LINE!
As your partner, CollegeSource is here to support you in any way possible. So this one is on us! We know that we all need each other more than ever now, and that transfer and degree planning are more important than ever. We are making sure these presentations, these tips and tricks, these tasty morsels of greatness we’ve been crafting can still be savored by our users by delivering them online. We will still be with you in our new virtual world during the same week, June 22-26, that you had already planned to be with us. As part of our commitment to your success, it will be free and available to all of our users.
I will miss “seeing” you all, but I hope you will join me for the Opening Session on Monday, June 22, and participate in our first-ever virtual conference.
