What to expect in Transferology 1.9.7
Transferology 1.9.7 is scheduled for release on October 28, 2025. This release will contain over 120 enhancements and improvements to Transferology and the Transferology Lab. Read below to see notable highlights from the release.
Java upgrade
Transferology and Transferology Lab are being updated to a newer version of Java to increase security and performance and ensure readiness for future updates.
New in the Lab
Add comments and support files to evaluation task requests
Institutions that subscribe to Transferology and TES will soon be able to add comments and support files to evaluation tasks sent to TES through the TES Mode integration in the Lab. This new functionality will allow institutions to provide context and additional information to evaluators reviewing courses in TES.
School Admin role expanded
The School Admin role will now encompass all the school-level permissions and capabilities within the Transferology Lab. In addition to current capabilities, users with this role will be able to perform the same actions as those with the Advisor, Recruiter, Program Admin, Transfer Pathway Admin, Transfer Specialist, and TES Evaluation roles.
New role: Tech Support
School Administrators will be able to assign a new role to anyone at their institution who needs to access the Transferology Lab to help with technical setup. Users with the Tech Support role will have limited access to the application to assist with audit setup, configuring SIS import, and creating the institution’s landing page.
Integration with Slate™
Institutions will be able to import student lead and contact information more easily from within the Recruit Students and Advise Students areas within the Lab into Slate. Student email, courses, and Program interest can be sent to Slate via a direct integration after initial consultation with CollegeSource.
New color customization options within landing pages
School Admins and State Coordinators will have additional options to brand their institution and state/system landing pages. Users will be able to choose different colors for header text on a white background and the background and foreground color for the section advertising the partnership with Transferology.
Add comments to Course Bundles
Users will be able to add comments to Transfer and Replacement Course Bundles within the Lab. All users with access to a Collaborative Bundle will be able to add a comment to that bundle. School Admins and users with edit, delete, or owner permissions will be able to delete comments within the Collaborative Bundle.
Option to specify hours, credits, units, or courses within the Transfer Equivalencies page
A new configuration called Hours label is being added to the General Information tab of the School Profile. School Admins will be able to use this configuration to choose whether the course credit value (example: up to 3 hours) of their institution’s courses is displayed within the Transfer Equivalencies page to users as an hour, credit, or unit value, or as a number of courses.
New in the student application
Improvements to Favorites page
Students will be able to favorite schools directly from the Favorites page. Functionality has also been added to favorite systems and view search results to see how courses transfer to the schools within.
