A few years ago, Ellucian introduced the Ethos platform to their customers. Designed to provide a single, open and extensible architecture to access institutional data, Ethos is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and provides a singles access point for all applications, including those from third-party creators, to the institution’s student information system (SIS) data, whether it resides on-premise or in the cloud. Utilizing Ethos, institutions can build and work with vendors to read/write SIS data using Ellucian-built APIs. This new process is intended to simplify the integration of third-party products as well as institution-built products. By using one API and relying on Ellucian to maintain the API definitions, vendors and institutions can build products knowing that interactions will continue to be supported in the future.

What does being an Ethos Partner mean?

At CollegeSource, we have built and validated an Ethos integration with Ellucian’s SIS. This allows us to provide ready-made, seamless integration between uAchieve and Ellucian’s SIS. Our company has worked with Ellucian to validate our Ethos solution and become one of the select vendors who have an Ethos Integrated Solution and a member of the Ethos Partner Program.

What does this mean for our customers?

As a member of the Ethos Partner Program, our customers will have the satisfaction of knowing that our products can and have been integrated through Ethos while using the best standards outlined by Ellucian. Our clients can begin to use the integration as soon as they’re ready, knowing that we’re ready and will continue to maintain the Ethos integration for future releases.
If you would like to find out more about our products and how they integrate with Ethos, please contact us here or send us a message at in**@co***********.com.
