What to expect in the Transferology 1.9.6 release

Transferology 1.9.6 is scheduled for release on July 16, 2024. This release will contain almost 400 enhancements and improvements to Transferology and the Transferology Lab – 129 of which address accessibility.
Attendees of this year’s CollegeSource Annual Conference got a sneak peek of the features coming to Transferology this summer. Highlights in the Lab
Multifactor authenticated login
Transferology will introduce multifactor authentication – also known as “MFA” – into the Lab to protect user accounts – and the data within – from unauthorized access if passwords become stolen or compromised. School Administrators are encouraged to review and share this article with college and university staff ahead of the change.
New tuition & fee options
New fields have been added to Profile Preview to allow School Administrators to report and provide additional information about grant and scholarship awards and graduate tuition costs. Institutions can also report additional tuition costs through a custom field.
Redesign of Check Transfer Rules
The Check Transfer Rules page has been reimagined and streamlined with a clearer focus on helping Transfer Specialists see how they can improve Match results. Transfer Specialists will be able to see the percentage of courses within each transfer institution’s most recent catalog that have a current equivalency. Users can review this data at the Department level and send unevaluated courses for review via TES Mode, if the institution is a subscriber of TES, the Transfer Evaluation System. Institutions can continue to use this page to additionally review the alignment of department names used in transfer rules with those in the Source School’s TES catalog and, where needed, create a Source Department Alias to ensure courses appear in Match results.
Improvements to TES Evaluations
When viewing equivalencies within TES Evaluations, users will be able to see the Begin Date, End Date, and Public Note fields from TES. A new configuration will control which Lab users can see the TES Private Note.
Updates to Collaborative Course Bundle Management
When managing bundle collaborators, the logged-in user will be able to see their permissions for the bundle.
Additionally, updates have been made to third-party libraries (Bootstrap, Hibernate, and Spring) within the student and staff applications to increase security and stability.
