CollegeSource announces the winners of the 2024 Best Practices Awards.
[San Diego, July 16, 2024] – CollegeSource, a leading provider of innovative software solutions for higher education institutions, is thrilled to announce the recipients of the 2024 CollegeSource Best Practices Awards. The Best Practices Awards, also known as the Sourcies, recognize institutions and professionals who have demonstrated exceptional use of CollegeSource products to enhance transfer and degree achievement.
From top left, clockwise: President Troy Holaday and CEO Kerry Cooper presented the 2024 Sourcie recipients which include Kim Diawara of the University of Colorado Boulder, Dena Lawrence of Illinois MyCreditsTransfer, and Kansas State University (represented by Holly McHugh and Tyler Henry).
After a rigorous review process, CollegeSource was pleased to award the following institutions and individuals with a Sourcie at the 2024 CollegeSource Annual Conference, which took place in San Diego, California, June 17-20, 2024:
Kansas State University
Exceptional Implementation Effort
Kansas State University has utilized CollegeSource’s degree audit for over 30 years and recently decided to upgrade to the latest version, uAchieve 5.0. During this process of preparing to upgrade, the university realized that its homegrown transfer applications supporting current and prospective students in evaluating transfer applicability would require modifications that were outside the scope of what the university could handle with its own limited time and resources. K-State chose two additional CollegeSource products, Transferology, the nationwide transfer network, and TES, the Transfer Evaluation System, to replace the existing homegrown applications. These leading transfer solutions not only fulfill the needs of the university but also reduce the workload for staff by eliminating the necessity to maintain or build homegrown applications.
In just one year, Kansas State University upgraded its instance of uAchieve to the latest version and implemented TES and Transferology. Due to demonstrated excellence with the simultaneous implementation of multiple products, CollegeSource awarded Kansas State University the Exceptional Implementation Effort Best Practices Award.
Dena Lawrence, Ed.M., Illinois MyCreditsTransfer

Dena provides training for 2- and 4-year advisors and high school college admission counselors and has presented regionally and nationally on many transfer topics. She serves as the Illinois reporter to AACRAO for the Transfer Credit Practices publication.
In addition to the above, Dena has provided unwavering support for CollegeSource and, in particular, its product, Transferology. For a decade, she has actively shared her extensive knowledge and experience by presenting or co-presenting on Transferology at the CollegeSource Annual Conference, various state and regional conferences, and the CollegeSource Transfer Week Webinar Series. Her dedication to student success, innovative use of technology, and commitment to continuous improvement have profoundly impacted the transfer community, and CollegeSource is proud to award Dena with a Transfer Champion Lifetime Achievement Best Practices Award.
