In this Roundup News article, learn about Cristina Castelo Rodriguez, Ed.D., of Los Angeles Pierce College and the recognition she received from CollegeSource for Superior Work in Advancing Statewide Transfer Evaluation. Cristina was a recipient of a “Sourcie,” a best practices award given each year at the CollegeSource Annual Conference.

“Rodriguez saw a gap in the accessibility of transfer knowledge in the community college systems and went to work.” She created an initiative to add course tags to TES®, the Transfer Evaluation System, resulting in transfer students in the California community college system being able to see what courses transfer to other institutions. John Panzica, Product Solutions Specialist at CollegeSource, nominated Cristina after working with her as a liaison and seeing her exceptional work. “We look for individuals who go above and beyond to help in the transfer student experience,” he said.
