Exciting networking activities
In addition to the rigorous training sessions we have on TES, Transferology, and uAchieve, we have made it our goal to ensure there will be plenty of chances to connect with fellow users and our staff in San Diego and have a little fun:
Monday Night Welcome Reception and Dinner with the CAB
Wear your branded institution gear to show off your school spirit at the Welcome Reception on Monday evening! Remember to bring extra t-shirts and swag to trade with attendees from other institutions for our annual swag swap. We’ll have an icebreaker activity, lawn games, music, appetizers, and the opportunity to sample craft beer brewed at a local San Diego brewery by our CollegeSource staff! Close out the night by spending some time at the beach with CollegeSource’s Client Advisory Board (CAB) members. The CAB members will be splitting off following the mixer and heading to various local restaurants in Mission Beach – and you’re invited! Spots are limited for dinner with the CAB, and a signup form will be available closer to the conference.
Networking Lunch and Product Expert Wizards
During our two-hour lunch on Wednesday, tables will be arranged by topic to allow you to discuss topics of interest with fellow users. This lunch is also a wonderful opportunity to meet with our staff or find a spot at the hotel for an informal group discussion with some of your colleagues and friends. Additionally, we will be bringing back our Wizard Bar sessions with CollegeSource staff. We will have a sign-up sheet for you to book a 15-minute appointment with one of our wizards during the Networking Lunch on Wednesday. Here, our staff can work with you one-on-one to answer any questions you might have.
‘Where the Action Is’ Beach Bash
Wednesday night’s festivities begin with a dinner buffet followed by a beach party with San Diego’s own Mar Dels. Bring your dancing sandals, don your best retro 60s and 70s outfit, and join us for a night of great food, dancing, and more! Yes, you read that right – we’re dressing up in costumes this year and getting downright groovy! In addition to dinner and music, we’ll also have a vintage VW bus photo booth to help you remember the evening with snapshots.
Additional conference activities to look forward to
Best Practice ‘Sourcie’ Awards – Each year, we recognize schools, organizations, and professionals in our user community that are achieving remarkable accomplishments using CollegeSource products with a best practice award called the Sourcies. Join us during the keynote to see who this year’s recipients are. Is there an institution or professional that you think should be recognized this year? Submit your nomination here.
San Diego Blood Bank’s Bloodmobile – We’ve partnered with the San Diego Blood Bank to hold a blood drive from 11am – 4:30pm on Monday, June 17. Hop on the bloodmobile bus and donate with us! You do not have to be a registrant to donate blood; the drive is open to all. Walk-ins are welcome, but making an appointment will help you save time and secure a spot. Help us reach our goal of 35 donations! Make an appointment | Learn about blood donation types | View donor requirements
CSI-X: The CollegeSource Solution – Join us during the networking lunch for a short TED Talk-like experience to learn more about how TES, Transferology, and uAchieve work together to help recruit, admit, retain, and graduate students.
Certification Opportunities – Join us early on Monday at the Pre-Conference and kick off the week by signing up for one of our certification tracks: TES Administrator, Transferology Administrator, and uAchieve Encoding Boot Camp. All three provide a deep dive into their respective products and will put you on the path to certification. If you’ve already registered for the conference and would like to join a track, you may log into the conference registration website and modify your registration.
Two Yoga Stretching Classes – Spend 45 minutes on Tuesday evening getting your shavasana on at the beach alongside Mission Bay, or get up early and take in the sights and sounds of the Bahia’s garden and pond area on Wednesday morning. These yoga sessions are free to all conference attendees and will help you become reinvigorated and refreshed. No experience is necessary; just bring yourself!
We look forward to seeing you in San Diego!
