*NEW* uAchieve Degree Audit Encoding Primer
Monday, June 16 from 8:30 – 11:00am and from 12:30 – 3:30pm
Degree Audit encoding and processing is often challenging to explain to those who do not work with it daily. However, there are core concepts and basic knowledge that anyone who works with encoders or is beginning their own encoding journey needs to know. This session will provide an overview of the most relevant functionality and terminology of uAchieve Degree Audit encoding that anyone who interacts with it on a regular basis needs to know. It is intended for brand-new encoders who need an introduction to encoding, transfer articulation staff who need to understand how their work may impact degree audit encoding, those who manage degree audit encoders, and technical staff who do not encode but need to be aware of how encoding and degree audit processing function.
Getting Started with the TES Evaluation Tracker Workflow
Monday, June 16 from 9:00 – 11:00am
This session is designed for TES Administrators and college or university administration or staff at institutions exploring or planning to implement the Evaluation Tracker workflow in TES. It will provide an in-depth overview of the Evaluation Tracker workflow and how it can route course descriptions (and course outlines) to faculty and staff for review. We will discuss the key components of the Evaluation Tracker workflow, the user rights and configurations needed to get started, and how to initiate evaluation tasks for courses, standardized exams, military credit, and prior learning assessments. Significant time will be devoted to helping institutions understand how their policies and practices will influence business processes around the use of the TES Evaluation Tracker workflow. Current use of or prior knowledge of TES is not required.
Advanced String Table Rules (uAchieve)
Monday, June 16 from 12:30 – 3:30pm
The String table houses sets of courses with simple and complex relationships to one another and is used to deal with course equivalencies, limiting credit, prerequisite management, and course time-sequencing. This session will cover String table concepts, the use and function of control rules, types of String relationships, and how String table rules can be used for curriculum scenarios. A brief review of the basic equivalency string types will be followed by lessons on the advanced string rule types of credit-limiting, prerequisite checking, and time sequencing. Additional advanced topics, such as multiple string rule effect and exceptions, will also be discussed. This session, part of the uAchieve Advanced Topics Workshop series, counts towards the training requirement for the uAchieve Degree Audit Encoder certification.
